Frontier Texas! is one of the most distinctive museums in the Lone Star State, and it’s right in downtown Abilene. Rather than simply displaying artifacts behind glass, the museum uses full-size holograms of historical figures — buffalo hunters, Comanche warriors, frontier settlers — to tell the story of West Texas in a way that actually sticks with you.
